Image
Ravage Transformers USB flash drive Got amazed with the new sequel of Transformers the movie? Yes, this movie became a box office soon after its premier. Many people love the special effects and excellent actions shown in the movie, and off course, cool transforming robots in the movie. Since the animated Transformers series in our childhood age, we must want to have one of those fancy robots for our own. Now, our dream could come true. It is not those toys or action figures. Believe me, it is fully functioned transformers robot. Well, off course it is not a full scale car that could transforms in to an autobot but you can have your own Ravage AKA Tripedacus Agent, a robocat that could turns in to a cassette. Mosquito Sound Alarm Clock Is Cruel And Unusual Punishment

Image
Mosquito Sound Alarm Clock Is Cruel And Unusual Punishment The thing I enjoy most about camping is the sounds of birds and other wildlife at the crack of dawn. Conversely, the thing I hate most about camping is the quiet drone of a single mosquito in your tent while you’re trying to fall asleep. It’s almost impossible to figure out where the little bugger is, and when the sound stops, you know they’re up to no good. And that’s why I think this Mosquito Sound Alarm Clock is cruel and unusual punishment. It would definitely get me out of bed in the morning, though at the cost of emotionally crippling camping flashbacks. $25.95 from Danna Bananas.

URWERK’s New ‘King Cobra’ UR-CC1 Watch Inspired By 1960’s Speedometers

Image
URWERK’s New ‘King Cobra’ UR-CC1 Watch Inspired By 1960’s Speedometers Last year URWERK turned heads and weighed down wrists with their UR-202 Hammerhead turbine-regulated watch which, quite frankly, just looked really cool. And so does their latest model, the UR-CC1 codenamed the ‘King Cobra’. Now while it might not look as complex as the UR-202, the King Cobra’s 2 horizontal retrograde cylinders which are used to display the hours and minutes are actually the result of 3+ years of R&D and testing to ensure their rotation and fly-back action doesn’t affect the watch’s accurate timekeeping. The watch also features a honeycomb patterned rack (visible through a window on the side) used to rotate the minute cylinder that’s actually made from silicon via a photolithography process in order to keep it extremely lightweight but also very strong. Unfortunately there’s no pricing info for the UR-CC1 at the moment if you’ve already got your credit card in hand, but it’s easily another item ...

Louis Vuitton Tambour Mysterieuse Luxury Watch

Image
Louis Vuitton Tambour Mysterieuse Luxury Watch Louis Vuitton’s Tambour watch collection has enhanced with the adjoin of the Tambour Mysterieuse, a watch made of luxury gold and steel, but still in the immediately recognizable tambour drum outline, this completely mechanical watch deals in the horological magic stuff. Calibre LV115 is another addition in this series which has been developed, created and assembled in the workshop of this brand in Switzerland. This exceptional piece can reserve 8-day power and there is nothing redundant about the mechanical movement and healthiness stands in bleak contrast to its ephemeral nature. The hour and minute indicators generally placed on completely transparent mobile sapphire discs.

Soundblock: a marginally heinous dock connector iPod speaker

Image
Soundblock: a marginally heinous dock connector iPod speaker It's hard to guess why one would consider this device over that Lego-inspired alternative we peeked last Spring, but those obsessed with Elecom or born with an innate fear of stackable blocks can certainly opt for the Soundblock. Designed specifically for the fourth generation iPod nano, first generation iPod touch and any other iPod that ships sans an integrated speaker, this here speaker clicks into the dock connector and can be ordered in one of ten different colors. The pain? ¥4,000 ($42), which seems about a Jackson and a half too steep for our tastes.

PRIME hand injury diagnosis system takes hold of innovation prize

Image
PRIME hand injury diagnosis system takes hold of innovation prize It may look like little more than a pegboard and a force meter at present, but the PRIME hand-strength measuring device has already won first place at the IShow innovation showcase. Its magic lies in the custom software loaded onto the appended PDA, which makes it possible to accurately and repeatably diagnose hand and wrist injuries that doctors currently test for by squeezing and prodding. The Rice University students responsible for the Peg Restrained Intrinsic Muscle Evaluator have applied for a patent and are planning to commercialize the device, so we'll be looking for it on the next episode of House.

EA announces latest NERF Wii game with new and improved blaster

Image
EA announces latest NERF Wii game with new and improved blaster Thought all your dreams of an all-in-one NERF gun / Wii controller were fulfilled with the original NERF Blaster Controller? Think again. 'Cause EA has now announced its follow-up NERF 2: N-Strike Elite game, which will of course also come bundled with a new and improved NERF Switch Shot EX-3 blaster. As before, this one will house the Wiimote inside to let you use it with the game or let you ditch it to take things outside (or to the office), and it adds a new attachable "NERF decoder scope" that'll let you detect enemy weak spots, decode secret messages, and uncover other hidden gameplay elements. And, well, it's a NERF gun and a Wii controller. Is there anything else you really need to know? No word on a price just yet, but you can look for the bundle to launch sometime this fall.

Apple recalls faulty first generation iPod nano players in Korea

Image
Apple recalls faulty first generation iPod nano players in Korea While Apple may have moved on to selling the 4th generation iPod nano, consumer protection agencies are still focused on gen-1. For good reason too, apparently, as there's mounting evidence that those early white and black plastic players have a tendency to overheat, swell, and possibly burst into a nasty chemical fire. Responding to four formal consumer complaints made between December and June, the Korean Agency for Technology and Standards sent a request to Apple on June 25th recommending that Apple "aggressively" collects first generation iPod nano with Lithium Ion batteries made by the Chinese company ATL. Initially, Apple agreed to replace faulty units as they did in Japan upon request by the consumer. However, KATS is now reporting that Apple will recall the players under its own initiative making this the first formal iPod nano recall we can, uh, recall.

Samsung's 250GB SpinPoint N3U has on-board USB, personal bonus card

Image
Samsung's 250GB SpinPoint N3U has on-board USB, personal bonus card It may not be the first 1.8-inch hard disk we've seen pushing a 250GB capacity, but damn if Samsung doesn't know how to market its tech. See, these drives are small as Samsung skillfully demonstrates by photographing its new Spinpoint N3U disk in front of a credit card. And by including a native PATA to USB controller on the circuit board, Samsung has helped manufacturers eliminate a bit bulk from future portable USB disk offerings. The 3,600rpm drive itself features 125GB per platter, 8MB of cache, and should be capable of withstanding drops from about 20-inches. At least it will when these begin shipping in mid-July for about $200.

Liquid Image video camera goggles get upgraded specs: awesome

Image
Liquid Image video camera goggles get upgraded specs: awesome Aloha, friends! Are you finding your beach holiday experience is missing that certain bit of techno je ne sais quoi? Maybe it's because your snorkeling exploits are going undocumented, in which case you may look to Liquid Image's newly unveiled UDCM310. An evolutionary improvement on the previous model, the new goggles feature a 5 megapixel CMOS sensor, software-free USB connectivity and the ability to record 720 x 480 video at 30 fps to a microSD card. Sure, it's not exactly overwhelming you with shooting options, but it also keeps your hands free for whatever underwater heroics you want to film.

NVIDIA's 40nm GeForce G210 and GeForce GT 220 desktop GPUs emerge

Image
NVIDIA's 40nm GeForce G210 and GeForce GT 220 desktop GPUs emerge We can't say we're entirely shocked to see 'em, but a new pair of GPUs based on 40 nanometer process technology has surfaced over at NVIDIA's website. Both of the new devices are expected to be sold exclusively to large OEMs for integration into pre-configured machines, and they'll both support DirectX 10.1, OpenGL 3.0, and CUDA. The lower-end GeForce G210 arrives with a 589MHz core clock speed, 512MB of DDR2 RAM and a 64-bit memory interface; meanwhile, the GeForce GT 220 ups the ante with a 615MHz core clock rate, 1GB of GDDR3 RAM and a 128-bit memory interface. As for outputs, the former packs VGA, DisplayPort and DVI, while the latter sticks with VGA, HDMI and DVI. There's no word on when we'll seen them offered in any entry-level desktop rigs, but surely it won't be long now.

T-Mobile rolling out plethora of myTouch accessories

Image
T-Mobile rolling out plethora of myTouch accessories As much heat as the "myTouch" name has taken, we're starting to understand why T-Mobile went with it -- the myTouch 3G is a very customizable device. At device launch, we're counting no fewer than 17 trinkets to go along with your phone -- not including color variations -- ranging from the ultra-mundane (a USB cable in your choice of black or white, for example) to the awesome (a snap-on battery extender that'll add 50 percent more juice) to the crazy (a myTouch logo commuter mug). Buyers will also be able to get custom-designed shells through Skinit and have access to a fitness belt, meaning you now have absolutely no excuse not to get on the trail and run that ten miles with that trusty Magic firmly attached to your arm. Well, except the fact that The Hills is on. Right after The Hills, though, we swear.

Seidio Palm Pre battery adds more staying power, retains slim figure

Image
Seidio Palm Pre battery adds more staying power, retains slim figure Admit it, your 1150mAh stock Palm Pre battery is far less than stellar -- it's okay, we won't tell anyone. In fact, you can pick up an even larger, 1350mAh battery from Seidio that manages to keep the same physical proportions as its predecessor, meaning no dead giveaway / gaudy bulge the back of the phone. Ideally, that'd get ya an almost twenty percent bump in usage, but we doubt it pans out so nicely in field testing. Feel free to find out for yourself, it's on sale now for a cool $45.

SoundAMP hearing aid app for iPhone unleashed on our delicate ears

Image
SoundAMP hearing aid app for iPhone unleashed on our delicate ears We've just caught wind of a new app for the iPhone / iPod touch... should you be either a little hard of hearing or a little nosy. SoundAMP works a lot like those Sonic Earz you see on the infomercials -- you run the app with your earbuds plugged in, and then sit back and enjoy listening to the sweet sounds of whatever's going on around you -- only louder. The app allows you to control volume and tone, and you can also replay the last 30 seconds of what you've been hearing -- in case you missed something particularly juicy. Now, personally, we put in the earbuds and crank up the tunes to shut out the outside world, but if this is your kind of thing -- it's available in the iTunes store right now for $9.99.

Yamaha YTH-591 HTIB reviewed -- you pay more, you get more

Image
Yamaha YTH-591 HTIB reviewed -- you pay more, you get more Every time we're asked for speaker and/or receiver suggestions and our victim's eyes glaze over as the discussion stretches on, we're reminded of why HTIB (home theater in a box) systems are so successful. As crazy as it seems to us, most people just want to get going with the HT, not invest in a lifestyle. Based on the review at the aptly named HomeTheaterInABoxReview, the Yamaha YHT-591 sounds like a system we could recommend the next time we're asked. At $649, it's on the expensive side of the HTIB spectrum, but you get what looks like a slightly detuned RX-V463 (105-Watt, 5.1-channels), 5 bookshelf/desktop-sized speakers and a 10-inch subwoofer. Other than the spring clips on the receiver, it looks like the receiver will survive a few round of speaker upgrades, with YPAO room EQ, HDMI connectivity and good codec support.

LaCie ups the LaCinema Rugged ante with new HD version

Image
LaCie ups the LaCinema Rugged ante with new HD version At first glance, you'd be hard-pressed to notice the difference between LaCie's LaCinema Rugged HD and last year's model, but sure enough, the middle square of that device definitely has "HD" ingrained into its genetic code, and if you can't guess what that means, we'll tell ya: 1080p output. Other than that aesthetic modification and the new peak resolution, there's not a lot that's changed -- HDMI and composite output, USB 2.0 transfer, and a sizable number of supported codecs -- but that's not exactly a bad thing here. It's available as of this moment, and while previously we had a few variety of sizes, for now we're only seeing 500GB at a penny under $350 before shipping.

Sony's connected BRAVIA HDTVs score Netflix streaming, PS3 left in the cold

Image
Sony's connected BRAVIA HDTVs score Netflix streaming, PS3 left in the cold It's with mixed emotions that we present to you Netflix's latest partnership with Sony, which is awesome, but could be so (so!) much more. Today, the world's leading online movie rental service inked a deal that'll bring instant Netflix streaming to Sony BRAVIA Internet Video-capable HDTVs this fall along with older BRAVIA models that are compatible with Sony's BRAVIA Internet video link module. Sadly, the PlayStation 3 is glaringly absent in the announcement, which is a golden opportunity missed in our humble estimation. Ah well, at least there's PlayOn, right?
