Acer has brought forward that from next April will be available in some markets with two new models of smartphones, the X960 and the DX900.
The third global manufacturer of computers last month announced four new 3G touchscreen smartphones that use Microsoft’s operating system, Windows Mobile.
Acer DX900 will be available later this month, as commented Vincent Chen, product marketing manager of the division of smart handheld devices of Acer. This is a third generation smartphone with touch screen and comes with two SIM cards (dual SIM cards). One supports HSDPA (high speed downlink packet access), while the other supports EDGE (Enhanced Data rates for GSM evolution).
For its part, the Acer X960 goes on sale early next month. In this case, it is a device with a 2.8-inch touch screen and a navigation button with five directions. It also includes features GPS, a 3.2 megapixel digital camera and music player, among other benefits.
Furthermore, the two handheld devices to high range, the M900 and F900, with 3.8-inch touchscreen, will be available at the end of the second quarter of 2009. The F900 is more elegant, while the M900 has a sliding QWERTY keyboard and is designed for professional users.
